Class 12 English Exam Pattern 

The Class 12 English question paper includes three sections:

Section A (22 marks)

Section A includes two passages, which have MCQs and short answer questions related to the passage. Each passage carries 11 marks. 

Section B (18 marks)

Section B includes short writing tasks (notice or advertisement) of four marks, long writing tasks of letter writing (6 marks), and article or report writing (10 marks).

Section C (40 marks)

This section includes short- and long-answer questions from the prescribed textbooks Flamingo and Vistas. 

Internal Assessment (20 marks) 

The internal assessment includes an analysis of listening and speaking skills (10 marks) and project work based on topics from the syllabus (10 marks).
