9. Light- Reflection and Refraction

In Chapter 9, Light- Reflection and Refraction, there is a brief explanation of the reflection of light by curved surfaces: images formed by spherical mirrors, the center of curvature, the principal axis, the principal focus, the focal length, mirror formula, magnification, the basics of refraction and laws of refraction, and refractive index. 11. Electricity

In Chapter 11, Electricity, there is a brief explanation of potential differences and electric current. Ohm’s law states that resistance and resistivity are factors on which the resistance of a conductor depends.  There is also a description of series combinations of resistors, parallel combinations of resistors, and their application in daily life. 12. Magnetic Effect of Electric Current 

In Chapter 12, Magnetic Effect of Electric Current, students will learn about the magnetic field, field lines, field due to current carrying conductor, field due to current carrying coil or solenoid, Force on the current carrying conductor, Fleming’s left-hand rule, and direct current. Alternating current: frequency of AC. The advantages of AC over DC and domestic electric circuits are also mentioned in the chapter.
