About Prashant Kirad - CBSE Science Educator

Prashant Kirad, a.k.a Prashant Bhaiya, needs no introduction among science students, whether they are in class 9 or 10. This young YouTuber Educator has tackled a big problem in education by providing free study materials and top-notch educational content, which helps overcome financial barriers for learners.

Kirad, born in 1996 in Aiwar town, Rajasthan, comes from a middle-class background. He aced the IIT-JEE exam on his first try. He earned his B.Tech in Computer Science from NSUT (Netaji Subhas University of Technology), Delhi. He began teaching students even during his college years, quickly amassing a devoted following.

1. Matter in Our  Surroundings

This is the first chapter in the NCERT Class 9 Science book, giving an introduction to matter present in our surroundings. It explains the physical nature of matter, its characteristics, particles of matter and different states of matter. This chapter explains different activities in the form of experiments to help students understand the chapter better.

2. Is Matter Around Us Pure?

The next chapter is 'Matter Around Us Pure'. This chapter teaches students about the purity of matter, how the purity of any matter can be decided, what is the criteria to decide purity of matter, etc. Students will also learn about mixtures, types of mixtures, solutions, suspensions,  physical and chemical changes, and some numerical.

3. Atoms and Molecules

This third chapter of the Class 9 NCERT Science book explains atoms, molecules, and different combinations of laws, such as the Law of Conservation of Mass and the Law of Constant Proportions. Students will also learn how to write chemical formulas and calculate a substance's molecular mass. This chapter is very important for students, as without a better understanding of this subject, they won't be able to build a solid foundation in Chemistry.

4. Structure of  the Atom

Moving on to the fourth chapter of the NCERT Class 9 Science book, this chapter explains the structure of matter, charged particles, and various models describing the structures of atoms. Students will also learn about atomic and mass numbers and how to calculate them.

5. The Fundamental Unit of Life

The next chapter is 'Fundamental Unit of Life'. This is a part of the biology subject that educates students about living organisms and what they are made up of. This chapter explains about cell–the basic unit of life–its structure and different cell organelles in detail.

6. Tissues 

The sixth chapter in the NCERT Class 9 book is Tissues. This chapter explains Tissue and its different types. Students will learn to differentiate between plant and animal tissues and their various types.

7. Motion 

The seventh chapter in the NCERT books of class 9 science covers motion in Physics. It starts with a brief introductory paragraph defining and explaining motion and gradually moves on to uniform and non-uniform motion. Students will also learn about the graphical representation of motion and how to solve the numericals related to this topic.

8. Force and Laws of Motion 

The next chapter discusses Forces and Laws of Motion, where students learn about balanced and unbalanced forces and different laws of motion, such as the first, second, and third laws of motion, along with numerical and real-life examples.

9. Gravitation

The ninth chapter is Gravitation. This chapter explains gravity, gravitational force, the universal law of gravity, and more in detail. Students will also learn to solve the numerical questions related to acceleration due to gravity. This chapter also discusses thrust, pressure, buoyancy, and Archimedes' principle.

10. Work and Energy

Work and Energy is the 10th chapter in the NCERT class 10 Science. This Physics topic is explained in detail using examples and numerals. Students will learn about different types of energy, like potential energy and kinetic energy, along with lucid explanations of the topic rate of work and numerical problems related to that.

11. Sound

The second-last chapter in the NCERT Science book for class 10 is sound. This important chapter explains in detail how sound is produced and propagated, its characteristics, and its speed in different media. It also teaches students about various types of reflections, such as echo and reverberation, as well as the range of hearing and ultrasounds.

12. Improvement in Food Resources 

The last chapter is Improvement in Food Resources. This chapter discusses various ways to improve food production in the country through crop improvement and animal husbandry. It discusses improvement methods for crop variety, crop production management, and nutrient management, such as manure, fertilizers, irrigation, cropping pattern cattle farming, poultry farming, etc.
