Casteism is not promoted by talking about castes in this textbook. India is a religious and caste based country with multiple languages in usage. It is a known fact that there are people of different castes living together in Indian society. So reality cannot be hidden. This is the reason why there is a discussion on caste in this textbook. The ill effects of casteism can be explained to students in this age itself for a better India.
