For the protection of consumers, the government should have the following role-

(i) The government should give clear information about their rights and duties to the consumers through various mass media.

(ii) The government should provide complete information to the consumer about the three-tier judicial process created for the protection of consumers.

(iii) The government should make it mandatory for all vendors to hang price lists so that consumers do not have any confusion or difficulty in seeing the price of any item.

(iv) The government should make it mandatory for the producers that every product should have price, manufacturing date, last date of use, guarantee or warranty period, quality of the product, name of the product, address and telephone number.
