Question:

Why are normal eyes not able to see clearly objects placed closer than 25cm?

Answer:

A normal eye can see object kept at different distances clearly due to ability of ciliary muscles to increase or decrease its focal length of the eye lens. However, we cannot see objects placed closer than 25 cm because ciliary muscles can contract to a certain limit. Thus, the object placed closer than 25 cm appears blurred as the light rays coming from the object meet beyond retina.
