Question:

A concave mirror produces a three times magnified (enlarged) real image of an object placed at 10 cm in front of it. Where is the image located?

Answer:

m = 3, u = –10 cm, v = ?

From m = - (v/u)

v = –(3)(–10) = 30 cm

So, the image is located 30 cm away behind the mirror.
