Compare the images of Bharat Mata in this chapter with the image of Germania in Chapter 1.
There are two depictions of Bharat Mata, one created by Abanindranath Tagore and the other by another. Bharat Mata is depicted as an ascetic woman in the Tagore artwork. She's been depicted as calm, composed, divine, and spiritual. Additionally, she is depicted giving out clothing and food. Abanindranath Tagore made an effort to create a painting style that may be considered authentically Indian.
The second image depicts Bharat Mata holding a trishul and standing next to an elephant and a lion, both of which are representations of power and authority. This figure contrasts with the one that Abanindranath Tagore painted. On the other hand, the image of Germania by Philip Veet wears a crown of oak leaves which stands for heroism. Thus, there is one similarity between Bharat Mata and Germania – both have an element of bravery i.e., power, authority, and heroism.
