Common University Entrance Test aka CUET UG eligibility criteria determines whether the interested candidate is eligible to appear for the exam. The eligibility criteria vary for every participating university and candidates can check their eligibility on the official CUET website- cuet.samarth.ac.in. The exam is scheduled for May 15th, 2024, to May 31st, 2024 and the registration form will be released soon.
There is no age limit to appear for the CUET exam but the candidate must fulfil the academic eligibility requirements for the exam. The candidates are required to check the age criteria for the participating universities.

The reservation policy for the participating universities are to be followed for central universities. There is 7.5 percent reservation for Scheduled Tribes whereas 15 percent for Scheduled Castes. The other backward classes are allotted 27 percent and people with disabilities are allotted 5 percent.
Candidates belonging to the GEN-EWS category need to upload the certificate issued after/on April 1st, 2024 adhering to the official government guidelines.
Candidates belonging to the OBC-NCL category need to upload the certificate issued after/on April 1st, 2024 adhering to the official government guidelines.
Candidates belonging to the SC or ST category need to upload the caste certificate adhering to the official government guidelines. The required form needs to be uploaded at the registration time. If the candidate fails to do so, they need to upload the required Annexure declaration form.
The candidate must be an Indian citizen. The Tibetan refugees entering before January 1st, 1962, and citizens from Nepal, and Bhutan who now are permanent Indian residents.
The exam pattern is based on an objective-based or MCQ format and is conducted in hybrid mode. The candidates have to choose one amongst the given options as per the question. In the case of discrepancies or anomalies, after issued challenges, the marking scheme is as follows.
