Behrman is a sixty year old painter. He paints a leaf on the wall. It looks like the last leaf on the ivy creeper. Johnsy thinks it is the real leaf. It does not fall in the ice cold wind and storm and rain. This inspires a willingress for life in Johnsy’s mind. Johnsy gets better soon. So, Sue calls this painting, Behrman’s Master-piece.
