7. Why does distilled water not conduct electricity, whereas rain water does?

Question:

Why does distilled water not conduct electricity, whereas rain water does?

Answer:

Distilled water is a pure form of water which does not contain any solute (ions salts) in it therefore it cannot conduct electricity while rain water contains dissolved salts

and acids which dissociates in ions and conducts electricity.

Acids do not dissociate in the presence of water. Therefore it does not show acidic properties.
