3. Besides size of per capita income, what other property of income is important in comparing two or more societies?

Question:

Besides size of per capita income, what other property of income is important in comparing two or more societies?

Answer:

Per capita income or average income is useful for comparing two or more countries, but it does not give information about how this income is distributed among the people of the country. Therefore, in addition to the measurement of per capita income, equal distribution of income is important for comparison of two or more countries. Lifetime educational level, equality of treatment, expansion of health facilities and availability of public facilities etc. are also such important characteristics which are important for comparison of two or more countries.
